What happens in the event of rain or bad weather?
We have a few different options for indoor ceremonies in case it rains on your big day! We also have indoor options for cocktail hour! During your tour, we can go over your options and help choose a backup plan that best suits your needs and your vision.
Can I bring my own vendors?
Yes! We have a preferred vendor list that is full of vendors we know, trust, and have on file for insurance. However, if you have your heart set on a vendor we don’t have on our list, that is no problem! They must be licensed and insured, and show proof of this no less than 60 business days before event.
Is my pet allowed on the property for our ceremony?
If guidelines are followed, then YES! We require a few things to make this a possibility. The domesticated animal must be crated immediately following the wedding ceremony and photo session. No other pets or animals of any kind are permitted on Simpson Lakes premises, whether during a wedding ceremony or otherwise. A $250 refundable deposit for potential damages is required for the inclusion of any pets in a ceremony. In the event that the renter wishes to have an animal included in or present during a wedding or event ceremony. The renter will also be required to purchase an additional and/or supplemental general liability insurance policy, with such policy providing for the express coverage of any claims of injuries or damages to persons, property, or otherwise, that may be caused by the animal while on Simpson Lakes premises, in a form satisfactory to Simpson Lakes.
Service animals are excluded from these requirements. Simpson Lakes will make all efforts necessary to reasonably accommodate for certified service animals.
Can we use fireworks or sparklers in our wedding?
A preplanned fireworks show may be scheduled to take place at the end of your event; however, the renter must ONLY use Simpson Lakes licensed and insured vendor to handle any and all explosive fireworks and fireworks demonstrations. Absolutely no outside 3rd party can be in charge. Sparklers are welcomed as an exception for bride and groom grand exits following wedding receptions. All sparklers must be disposed of in a safe manner in a sand bucket to be provided by the renter.
Are there any alcohol restrictions?
While alcohol consumption is allowed at the facility, alcohol shall be consumed in a responsible manner. Alcohol shall not be served to minors or anyone appearing to be intoxicated. Glass bottles are prohibited. Renter is required to hire a licensed and fully insured bartender to serve any alcoholic beverages, and show proof of both certificates at least 60 business days before event. The renter is also required to provide all bartenders with advance notice of the total amount of anticipated guests, as most bartenders prefer 1 bartender per 75 guests. Upon signing this Rental Agreement, the renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Simpson Lakes from any damages, costs or expenses, including reasonable attorney fee, which may arise as a result of consumption or serving of alcoholic beverages by the renter and renter’s guests, vendors, contractors or staff.
Does the venue ever do more than one event per day?
No. The entire day will be all about you and we will be fully dedicated to making your day the very best!
